Guy McNamee

Guy McNamee is a twenty-one-year-old competitive climber from Vancouver, B.C. He started climbing when he was nine and started competing at eleven. Guy first made the Canadian national team in 2017 and has stayed there ever since. 

His accomplishments range from seven-time national champion to his most recent North American Cup win in Salt Lake City. Also, Guy made his first Boulder World Cup semifinals in Salt Lake City, where he placed fifteenth. Guy has represented Canada in three youth world championships, where he has competed in boulder, lead, and even in speed....

He has competed in twenty world cups including Boulder and Lead, and two world championships. Outside of climbing Guy enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with his twin brother, Kindar. Guy pronounces his name like Ghee Mac-Nah-Mee.
