Loi Duong Jr., a 24-year-old climber based in Montreal, Canada, is quickly making a name for himself in the Canadian climbing world. Discovering the sport during his university years, climbing rapidly became his primary focus. In just four years, Loi has achieved remarkable milestones, cementing his influence on Canadian climbing both as an athlete and a community leader.

While attending McGill University, Loi founded the McGill Climbing Club, which grew to become the largest university climbing club in Canada. His leadership and vision also revived Quebec’s interuniversity climbing competitions, organizing the first event of its kind in over a decade.

In addition to fostering local climbing communities, Loi launched RAGE Climbing Inc., a Canadian media company dedicated to elevating the sport through high-quality media. RAGE Climbing sponsors emerging athletes and has documented some of the country’s most prominent events, including:

with a wide audience.

Loi’s athletic achievements speak to his dedication and versatility as a climber. Drawing from a background in multiple sports, he has demonstrated impressive strength and rapid progress in both finger strength and calisthenics.
Primarily a boulderer, Loi is eager to expand his horizons, exploring lead climbing outdoors this summer alongside occasional outdoor bouldering sessions. With competition season resuming in September, he remains focused on achieving balance between his work, company, content
creation, and training.

Loi Duong Jr. is more than a climber—he is a community builder, entrepreneur, and an inspiration to Canadian climbers aiming to push their limits.
