Marco Sanelli

Marco moved to Vancouver, BC in 2013 to start a career in nature conservation at UBC. His first visit to the moss-carpeted granite boulders in Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) left him star-struck. The following 8 years consisted of teaching, setting, and study break sessions at the downtown Hive bouldering gym - combined with bumming car rides to the boulders on the weekends. More recently, he’s been enjoying developing new boulders in the Fraser Valley.

Outside of climbing, Marco works for an environmental consulting firm that helps green cities - futureproofing them in light of climate change. His free time is spent obsessing over drum and bass music, bedroom DJing, re-watching the LOTR, and making pasta.
